A Few Notes...

Greetings and salutations, and welcome to yet another fun-filled, exciting blog from the mind of a madman... I've just a few thoughts that have been going through my mind, as of late, and I felt it time to write them down for all to read.

1. Miss California - Carrie Prejean is a model for the extremist right-wing uber-Christian conservatives. She is a pillar of salt, I mean, strength, standing for what's moral and just and Godlike in our toilet of a country that continues spiraling downward into a pit of filth and despair... OK, so now what I REALLY think... I must applaud Miss California. While being eyed by millions of people across the country, she stood up for her beliefs, her moral foundation. Though the majority of us may not agree with what she said (as per a recent ABC/Washington Post poll) but since this is a country based on, at its most basic level, the freedom to speak our minds, how can I possibly hate the poor girl for the way her ignorant Prop 8 supporting parents raised her? And now, the religious right has labeled the poor, unfortunate soul as a "poster child" for anti-marriage activism. Why don't they just let the girl move on with her life like all the other 48 losers from the pageant? Because they can't leave well enough alone...*

2. My life - I'd like to take this moment to express how precious, and short, and necessary life really is. Anything can happen, and something dark and sinister can lie just around the corner, waiting to jump out, hold its knife to our throat and say "Give me all your money." I know, I know, that's an AWFULLY dramatic personification, but it seemed appropriate. We never know what the future is going to hold, and we can't live our lives in fear of the unknown. We have to take every little tiny chance we get, because the end could be on our heels, sneaking behind us, ready to strike. I've made some decisions about my life... I'm tired of waiting, of putting my dreams on hold. I will never succeed if I don't try, and while I may be missed, I must go where my dreams lead.

3. Classic - In response to a seemingly overwhelming amount of crap television shows that now plague our airways, I leave you with snippets of the most amazing, and classically formulated shows of my day...

Wow... I just realized that animation studios had a sick obsession with ducks... Just like how Pat Robertson stated today on The 700 Club that the most recent hate crimes legislation would include having sex with a duck on the list of sexual orientation... riiiight.

*addendum - Let it be said that I also do not agree with Perez Hilton's video blog about Carrie Prejean that was made after the pageant. Must we meet hate with more hate? Is that the only way to solve the issues that divide a country that, through all its been through in our long history, should unite and celebrate the differences that make this one of the greatest nations in the world? Really? REALLY?
